Newly opened Crewe Memorial Cottage Hospital in Victoria Avenue, Cheshire, built in Elizabethan style. Established by voluntary subscription by Mr. Yates Thompson and Mr. F. Webb, each giving £1000 and a further sum of about £600. Constructed with three wards, each containing six beds and a smaller ward with two, closing in 1974
