Disaster at the launch of H.M.S Albion at Blackwall 1898
After the Duchess of York (future Queen Mary), christened her, a wave created by Albion's entry into the water collapsed the stage where spectators were watching, causing 200 people to be pushed into the creek, despite boats rescuing people, 34 drowned
