Dubliners shot dead by British soldiers, August 1914
Crowd in Dublin being fired upon without orders by men of the King's Own Scottish Borderers. The incident had taken place after gun-running by the Irish National Volunteers at Howth, and a crowd hurled abuse at soldiers in Bachelor's Walk. The shots fired led to the death of three Dubliners
