New Pope, Pius X is seen enthroned immediately after the election. The dean of the Sacred College has conducted the necessary formula of acceptance and now the Pope, is about to avow his fidelity to the Church of Peter. Placed before him the dean the book of Gospels so that he may render this act with all the dignity and solemnity of the ancient form
