Elizabethan organ-clock
Elizabethan musical instrument that works as a barrel-organ and as a clock. The contract was between Randolph Bull, a goldsmith of London, and Richard Stapers, governor of the Merchants Company trading to the Levant. An extraordinary instrument was to be created, fit to be sent from Her Majesty Elizabeth I to any prince or potentate. The design features a figure of Queen Elizabeth I adorned with precious gemstones
