Ernest Trimmingham - Actor

Mr Ernest Trimmingham (1880-1942) - an actor on stage and screen from the British Overseas Territory of Bermuda. He was one of the first black actors in British cinema. Pictured here as the part-author and orignator of The Belle of Bermuda a musical play. The caption mentions he is famous in Bermuda for impersonation of Statesmen, with the Bermuda Officers giving him the nickname Joe
