A Famous Beauty - Hazel Lavery
Hazel, Lady Lavery (1886 - 1935), formerly Hazel Martyn and second wife of the celebrated portrait Sir John Lavery who painted her portrait hundreds of times. A renowned beauty and social hostess, she is pictured here in The Tatler at the time she was one of the chief organisers of a Souvenir Luncheon Party at the Savoy in aid of the wartime charity, the Three Arts Employment Fund. Hazel's unique and widely-admired sense of style is evident here
