Fancy dress party - ku klux klan costumes

Lady Douro's group at a fancy dress ball given by Mrs Harrison Broadley at her house near Aboyne to celebrate the engagement of her daughter Heather to Mr Blunt. In front, dressed up as members of the Ku Klux Klan are Lord Mornington, Lord Aberdour and Lord Maidstone. Behind Lady Godfrey-Faussett, Lady Daphne Finch-Hatton, Lady Anne Wellesley, Mr. D. Godfrey Faussett ('as a duchess! exclaims The Tatler, though it does not remark on the costume choices of the three seated members of the peerage), Miss Pamela Wellsley and Lady Douro (later the Duchess of Wellington)
