Fanny Blankers-Koen and her daughter
Dutch athlete Mrs Fanny Blankers-Koen was a star of the 1948 London Olympics, becoming the first woman ever to win three Olympic titles. She won the 100 and 200 metres, and the 80 metres hurdles. She was also the finishing runner in the victorious Dutch relay team. She received a heroes welcome on return to Amsterdam
