Fashions for a Coronation Summer, 1953
A jumper suit of pure white crepe de Chine splashed with black from Marshall and Snelgrove, one of a quartette of outfits, showcased by the Tatler as being ideal for the Coronation summer of 1953. The top has scalloped edges trimmed with flat ruching and ties on one hip, over a knife-pleated skirt. The huge straw hat is trimmed with a velvet ribbon
