First Motorized Skates in Paris 1906
Photograph of M. Constantini a Parisian motor innovator, wearing the new motor roller skates with solid tyres with diameter of 18 cm, pair weighting 12 kg. Each skate was fitted with a motor of one-half h.p. air-cooled with a speed of thirty miles per hour. A girdle went around the waist of the skater carrying a petrol tank, which held three-quarters of a litre of fuel. Also carrying the coil and accumulator and levers controlled by the person's hand that could adjust the speed
