Fisk University College, Nashville, Tennessee, USA. Founded in 1866 in the reconstruction period following the American Civil War, it was originally named the Fisk Freed Colored School and was intended to educated freed slaves. Named after Union General, Clinton B. Fisk, it is the oldest higher education institute in Nashville
