Florence Mills (1896 - 1927), born Florence Winfrey, American cabaret singer, dancer and comedienne. Pictured while appearing in a Charles Cochrane revue at the London Pavilion called Black Birds and featuring an all-star cast of black, African-American artists. Her costume is for the Jungle Nights in Dixieland number
