Fraulein von Poremski and her cropped hair, 1928
Fraulein von Poremski, a noted Berlin dancer, with a severe, cropped hairstyle. The Graphic magazine in which this photograph features comments, "The bizarre hair has been found original and attractive by many admirers of her hart. Others see in this severe, almost hoydenish shingle a reason for the present reaction away from close-cropped masculinity in coiffures."
