Fritz Kreisler, Austrian violinist and composer
Fritz Kreisler (1875-1962), Austrian-born violinist and composer. He had been slightly wounded in the left arm while serving in the Austro-Hungarian army during the First World War, and received an honourable discharge. In November he left for America, and stayed there for the rest of the war
