Funeral of Henry John Temple, 3rd Viscount Palmerston (1784-1865), in the North Transept of Westminster Abbey, London, 1865. Palmerston had wanted to be buried at Romsey Abbey, Hampshire, but the statesman's request was ignored and he was buried with full state honours
