Gaby Deslys
Gaby Deslys (1881-1920), French actress, singer and dancer, pictured wearing a costume designed by the artist Drian and realised by the fashion couturier Paquin for the new revue, A la Carte in Two Cafes and a Street. Gaby was as renowned for her lavish stage costumes as she was for her stage performance. The photographs were published in the same issue as photographs of ex-King Manuel of Portugal and his bride-to-be Princess Augusta (Augustine) Victoria of Hohenzollern.
