A gas-bag motor boat
The scarcity of petrol during the First World War saw the introduction of cars and vans powered by gas, with the gas being transported in a huge bag on the roof. In this instance, as the Illustrated Sporting and Dramatic News comments, the gas-bag is finding its way into more channels than one. This boat was photographed at an unidentified North of England pleasure resort
