General Monro
General Charles Carmichael Monro, sent as replacement to Sir Ian Hamilton in the Dardanelles. After a disastrous campaign, Hamilton was recalled to England. Monro recommended immediate withdrawal from the Dardanelles. After Kitcheners agreement, the evacuation was carried out with practically no casualties
