A German prisoner of war post-World War Two working in Britain stacking boxes of vegetables, work for which he receives a very small wage. The ILN writes that the prisoners have only one real complaint - uncertainty, and that at the time of writing the British Government had not yet announced its future plans even though hostilities ceased over a year before
