German V-2 Base at Watten; Second World War 1944
The huge concrete bunker of the German V-2 base at Watten, near St. Omer, France, 1944. This bunker was 300 ft. long, 200 ft. wide and 50 ft. tall. Watten rocket launch base had been extensively bombed by the Royal Air Force in the summer of 1944, hence the large piles of debris around the bunker
