Grand procession of the Wellington Statue, Park Lane
The grand procession of the great equestrian statue of the Duke of Wellington astride his horse Copenhagen, as the bronze statue by Matthew Cotes Wyatt which was the largest in Britain when it was unveiled in 1846, is pulled by a team of horses to Hyde Park Corner for installation atop the Wellington or Constitution Arch. Here the procession makes its way down Park Lane
