Great Blizzard of 1881
Sketches of the suburbs of London, depicting various scenes of people digging through the snow. On the 18th of January there was snow and winds in the early morning, settling to the ground, by noon a hurricane came from the north-east, which pushed the snow into drifts many feet deep
