The Great Ladies Crusade Against The Matinee Hat 1906
Photographs showing hats made by the Comtesse de Talleyrand, the Comtesse Recope, the Comtesse de Fels, the Marquise de Jaucourt and the Comtesse de Guerne. The size of the hats caused much controversy, especially with regards to theatre goers. The Comtesse de Greffulhe decided to start a league against the style, creating a trend for more modest head wear
