Great Yarmouth - Herring Harvest 1905
During the herring harvest Scottish women wearing dark skirts, thick boots and coarse shawls came down from Scotland to help. Standing before a long trough filled with myriads of silver fish, fisherman's wives would clean and gut as easy as knitting
