H. G. Wells & Aldous Huxley looking into the future

H. G. Wells and Aldous Huxley, two writers renowned for prophesying the future in their writing, caricatured in The Sketch. Wells's book, The Shape of Things to Come had just been made into a film, Things to Come which was showing at the Leicester square Theatre at the time this picture was published. Huxley's Brave New World also offered a stark vision of the future for 1930s readers
