How to be Happy Though Convalescent

Page from The Sphere with photographs detailing how wounded soldiers around the country were enjoying their convalescence. Some are catching fish in the grounds of Woodhall Park Hospital, others are doing the same at Cookham. A party of picnickers from the V.A.D. hospital at Hoddesdon are pictured by the River Lea at Broxbourne, while others are being rowed on the Thames at Teddington. The bottom two pictures show wounded soldiers splashing in the sea with children (unidentified location) and an impromptu concert given by a musical corporal in North Devon
