Haven of Refuge for Lost Dogs 1924
The North London dogs home in Bridge Road, Willesden, founded in 1912 and in 1921 taken over by Our Dump Friends League. The stray dogs which were picked up by the police everyday, then bought into the kennels by a van. The strays were kept for seven days by law to give the owner a chance to claim their dog. Photograph showing new arrivals, brought by the homes well-fitted motor-van which was a daily collection by the police station in North London
