Helen Wills
Helen Wills (1905 - 1998), American tennis player and artist, seen here in mufti, ie ordinary clothes rather than her tennis gear. She was appearing at Wimbledon at the time of this photograph, and won the women's singles against Lili de Alvarez. She was also known as Helen Newington Wills Roark and Helen Wills Moody
