HMS Intrepid, an Arctic exploration vessel, having been driven forty feet up an iceberg, Baffin Bay, 1851. The Intrepid, under the command of Lt. J.B. Cator, was forced onto the iceberg by the pressure of the surrounding ice and remained there for twenty hours, before relaunching herself
