Jeremy Sandford & Nell Dunn with John Bratby
Three movers and shakers of late 1950s Britain. Jeremy Sandford, screenwriter who went on to famously write Cathy Come Home together with his wife, Nell Dunn, daughter of Sir Philip Dunn, who both moved to Battersea after their marriage in 1957 where their observations provided inspiration for their work (Nell wrote Poor Cow and Up the Junction). They are with artist John Bratby, pioneer of the kitchen sink realism style of painting, with the portrait of them he did as a wedding present
