Jingo the Big Elephant at Zoo En Route to America 1903
Removal of Jingo a captive African elephant from zoological Society's Gardens (London Zoo). Jingo was an attraction for children who had rides around Regent's Park, but the two year old was too aggressive and dangerous so he was sold to Frank Bostock for an America exhibition. While being shipped to the USA the elephant died and was dumped overboard
