An official two-day state visit to the UK by King Bhumibol Adulyadej (Rama IX) (1927-) and Queen Sirikit (1932-) of Thailand - visiting Cambridge (walking through the Great Court of Trinity College) accompanied by Princess Alexandra of Kent (1936-) and Lord Adrian (Edgar Douglas Adrian, 1st Baron Adrian OM PRS - an English electrophysiologist and recipient of the 1932 Nobel Prize for Physiology, won jointly with Sir Charles Sherrington for work on the function of neurons) (1889-1977)
