King George IV visiting Holyrood Palace
George IV visiting the monarch's official residence in Scotland - Holyrood House in Edinburgh. The King wore tartan during his 1822 trip, a choice that was to popularise the pattern throughout the kingdom, though sadly here he's wearing his usual coat and breeches
