King and Queen inspecting bomb damaged Buckingham Palace

King George VI and Queen consort Elizabeth joined with Winston Churchill touring the bombed section of Buckingham Palace, London. On September 10th, 13th and 15th Their Majesties shared in the bomb suffering of their fellow-subjects when bombs fell on and around Buckingham Palace. The first being at the corner of the north and west fronts doing extrensive suferficial damage. On the 13th five bombs fell, two in the courtyard, two in the roadway and one wrecking the Chapel
