Lady Idina Gordon and the Hon Josslyn Hay

Lady Idina Gordon (nee Sackville) and her fiance the Hon Josslyn Hay (later Lord Erroll) relax at an Italian resort. They were married on 22 September 1923, her third marriage. The couple would gain notoriety later as part of the Happy Valley set following their move to Kenya in 1924. They divorced in 1930. Lord Erroll was murdered in January 1941, the case which was the subject of the book and subsequent film, White Mischief. After two more marriages, Idina Sackville died in 1955 at the age of 62
