Lady Loughborough back from war work, Bystander cover 1916

Margaret Sheila Mackellar Chisholm (1895 -1969), Lady Loughborough, Australian Born wife of Francis Edward Scudamore St Clair-Erskine, Lord Loughborough (died 1929). She met Luffy in Egypt while he was recovering from wounds received at Gallipoli and where she had been nursing the wounded. They married at the British consulate in Cairo. Pictured on the front cover of The Bystander who reports that she had just returned to England home on leave'. She later married Sir John Milbanke and then thirdly Prince Dmitri Romanoff in 1954
