Lansdowne and Delcasse
Commemorative portraits of Lord Lansdowne, British Foreign Secretary and Theophile Delcasse, French Minister for Foreign Affairs from the Graphic, April 1904. Lansdowne was the British signatory to the Entente Cordiale agreement between France and Britain. Delcasse originally proposed the agreement which aimed to resolve differences over colonial territories, and was to result a new era of alliance between the two countries
