Launch of Shamrock III
At Dumbarton, the yacht Shamrock III is launched, supported on pontoons. Owned by Sir Thomas Lipton, the yacht was to be his third challenger for the America's Cup. At the launching ceremony the yacht was named by the Countess of Shaftesbury
