Lobengula, son and (one) wife at Earl's Court
Peter Lobengula playing the part of his (alleged) father, King Lobengula at Frank Fillis's Savage South Africa show, staged at the Empress Theatre, Earl's Court in 1899. The caption, Lobengula, son and (one) wife - Also an English feather-worshipper refers to the numerous wives of King Lobengula. Peter was also involved with a white woman, KItty Jewell, who is married that year. Perhaps Miss Jewell is the lady depicted on the right?
