Looty, the Pekingese dog
Looty, a little Pekingese dog found during the looting by British and French troops of the Imperial Palace of Yuen-Ming-Yuen (the Old Summer Palace, Yuanmingyuan), near Peking (Beijing) in October 1860 by Captain Dunne of the 99th Regiment. Looty was brought to England and presented to Queen Victoria, becoming part of the Royal collection of dogs
