1st Viscount De L'Isle(1909-1991), aristocrat, business man, soldier and politician. As drawn from life by Stephen Ward, at a sitting specially granted to the Illustrated London News in 1961, when he was newly appointed as Govenor-general of Australia. Ward sketched several high profile figures for the Illustrated London News in 1961, but two years later he would become notorious through his involvement in the Profumo Affair
