Lord Lonsdale
Hugh Cecil Lowther, 5th Earl of Lonsdale (1857 - 1944), English nobleman and sportsman. An avid sports enthusiast and bon vivant, he founded the National Sporting Club and gave his name to the boxing sports brand, Lonsdale. He was also a keen racing enthusiast. Known as the Yellow Earl due to his penchant for colour. Pictured in the Illustrated Sporting and Dramatic News at the time of his golden wedding anniversary when a fund had been launched to set up a home for incapacitated sportsmen
