Louis Paulhan
Louis Paulhan (1883 - 1963), pioneering French aviator. Flying over a German aeroplane station, quick firing brought a German machine to the ground. Forced, in turn, to descend owing to a bullet-hole in his tank, the mechanic's quick-firer held off the pursuing Uhlans until the arrival of some French chasseurs
