LZ 10 Schwaben - wreckage 1912
The wreckage of the LZ 10 Schwaben destroyed at the airfield near Dusseldorf, Germany. Unable to put into its shed due to high winds the German rigid airship broke loose from its moorings. Hydrogen was ignited by a spark caused by static electricity accumulated in the rubberised cotton gasbags, in moments the entire ship had been burnt
