The making of Disney's Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs
Double page spread from The Illustrated London News with photographs showing the various aspects of production for the Disney feature-length animation, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, which was released in 1938. One picture shows the sound effects team recreating the noise of breaking crockery with a tower of wooden boxes, while a man speaks his line inside a box in order to recreate the right sound for the talking mirror. Other pictures show the colourisation process and the printing press camera which gave a sense of depth to the screen pictures
