Violet Gertrude Chichester, nee Twining, Marchioness of Donegall, one of a number of so-called dollar princesses, American heiresses who married into the impoverished British aristocracy in the late 19th and early 20th century. Pictured in The Tatler shortly after the death of her husband. She had married the eighty-year-old Marquis in 1902 and given birth to a son, but was widowed two years later
