As the Miss Henrietta Tiarks, she was debutante of the Year in 1957 and pursued a brief modelling career before her marriage. The daughter of a City banker and the actress Joan Barry, she went on to marry Robin, Marquess of Tavistock, heir to Woburn Abbey. She is now Dowager Duchess of Bedford
