Miss Margaret Whigham and Mrs Colclough displaying British gloves, stockings and scarves at the Best of Everything Dinner, Ball and Pageant at the Park Lane Hotel in aid of the Margaret Street Hospital for Women and Children. Not only was the ball in aid of the charity but the theme supported the Buy British campaign of that year. Among the organisers was Mrs Alexander McCorquodale aka Barbara Cartland
