Millicent Fanny Sutherland-Leveson Gower- [nee Millicent Fanny St Clair-Erskine], Duchess of Sutherland (1867-1955), society hostess and social reformer, featured on the front cover The Sketch magazine in 1914 in a nurse's uniform for her work with the Red Cross during the war. Here she is seen in Belgium, having joined the Belgian Red Cross in the summer of 1914
